Your chance to step inside the walls of New Zealand’s oldest prison.
The History Tour for the Napier Prison has realistic sound effects and stories about the harsh living conditions the prisoners were under. Walk down the same halls the prisoners walked in and peek inside their barren cells. Listen to tales of orphans and women who were incarcerated here, at the same time as the men. Hear tales of the insane who were locked in here as well. Interesting and informative, this tour is a fun way to learn about New Zealand’s old penal system.
